Located in Pismo Beach, California, Central Coast Meat Market is true Texas-style BBQ served up the way you love it. This brilliant restaurant is designed to allow each customer to build their own delicious meals and enjoy the welcoming atmosphere while being in this classic West Coast beach town.
The Challenge
Bringing real Texas BBQ to the middle of California’s Central Coast is no small task. That’s why a strong, unique brand identity is crucial for market entry and capturing our client’s target audience successfully.
The Strategy
When we were approached by Central Coast Meat Market with this project, we all agreed that a light-hearted, “tongue-in-cheek” brand personality would be key. After researching the local market and audience opportunity, we knew the overall brand strategy needed to declare an art direction that was masculine and capture the “meaty” business while still having a fun, casual side that is family-friendly and approachable. The strategy here is that both “character traits” of the brand identity are bold in essence and portraying this to the target demographic is key for proper brand communication and marketing.
The Design
This client was extremely open-minded, they were themselves bold and knew that a strong, fun brand is what will market the best. They trusted us to craft an original brand identity system that was scalable and memorable. The brand’s identity accomplishes this and more by not only standing out, but enveloping a concept that draws the eye in, creates an interesting talking point, and relates with their target customer.
